The Trevarthen Series: Studying babies through film
18 June @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The increasing capacities of movie cameras over the past decades have helped scientists to carry out sophisticated analyses of their skills. It is fascinating to follow this history, realising how closely they are linked.
Our latest course within The Trevarthen Series will trace that history. We’ll look at the scientific film footage produced by four key researchers since the 1930s. Those are Trevarthen, Robertson, Brody and Spitz.
During our online sessions, we will get a chance to view the film footage created by each of them. We’ll have lots of discussion about the implications of their work. Prior to each session, participants will receive related reading material so that they can get started early if they want. 😊
This course will cover a unique set of material. We have every confidence the conversation and insights that result will be fascinating.
Our four dates in June are:
- 4 June
- 11 June
- 18 June
- 25 June
Times: 7 – 8.30
Place: Online
Videos of all sessions will be made available to participants in the event of your not being able to attend.
Everyone is welcome to join us. It does not matter if you are brand new to this topic or have been studying these researchers for some time. We can’t wait to make your acquaintance.
Once you have signed up for the webinar series you will be sent a link to join the webinar 30mins before the start on the day of the webinar.
