39 How does sharing matter for people with dementia? Let’s return to Jack, whom we met earlier. Jack’s dementia has progressed so far that he has lost the ability to speak. He can’t express words and he doesn’t appear able to understand what others are saying to him. He can’t seem to make sense of information or respond to it. How then can we relate to Jack? What should we do?
